Curator and art historian Kene J. Rosa on Lena Moross

Drawing on her profound and extensive love of art history, Lena's drawings reference a mode of depiction that is both modern and classic at the same time. Her use of ink as the base medium is reminiscent of the iron gall drawings of the Old Masters. Her use of watercolor, both transparent and opaque reminds one of the hand painted Gum Arabic works of Honoré Daumier.
